The Gianacakos family has arranged a two-day Offensive Lineman Technique Clinic here on June 19 and 20, and invites all North Star O-linemen to participate.
The sessions will be run by Dave Diaz-Infante, a highly regarded former NFL pro (and Super Bowl champ) and now an Assistant O-Line Coach with the NFL Arizona Cardinals. Coach Diaz-Infante also is an ESPN analyst.
The fee is $90. Most of the costs are being underwritten privately by the Gianacakos family. Please note that this is not a North Star Football event.

Offensive Line Technique Clinic
We have an opportunity for offensive linemen (centers/guards/tackles) to be trained on fundamentals and advanced techniques by Dave Diaz-Infante. Technique is the foundation for offensive linemen and their success.
The following techniques will be trained:
Run blocking
• Base blocking
• First step progression
• Power and explosion
• Balance, hand placement and leverage
Pass blocking
• Balance and positioning (head/angles/feet/hands)
• Punch and hand fighting
• Counter bull and speed rushers
Additionally, the training will be filmed for individual instruction to review
technique and make improvements. Every participant will be required to have a helmet and mouthguard for safety. The maximum number of lineman that we can train is 20 so the sign-up will be first-come first-served until we reach 20.
The fee will be $90 for the two days and the Gianacakos family has covered
Coach Diaz-Infante’s airfare, transportation and meals.
Clinic Itinerary
Wednesday, June 19: 1.30pm - 5.00pm
We are starting in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 19, because Coach Dave is meeting with our coaches at 10.00am to discuss the clinic agenda, offensive line play and technique.
Thursday, June 20: 11.00am - 4.30pm | 6.00pm BBQ follows
On Thursday, we are starting at 11.00am so we have time to pack our things after camp and drive over to Nate's Premium Athletes at 1500 Foundry Street in St. Charles. Chase Gianacakos and his father, Rich Gianacakos, can give rides to those who may not have a car or ride.
The Thursday clinic is at Nate's Premium Athletes because it's inside so it's cooler, it has restrooms and other equipment for the clinic. It also makes filming easier.
In order to use this facility, you must complete and bring this injury waiver. Please fill out and sign if you are 18 or over, or have your parents sign to give their consent if you're under 18.
Things to bring to the clinic
• gym shoes
• helmet
• mouthguard
• linemen's gloves (optional)
• North Star Football practice jersey (to help identify you on film)
• water
• packed lunch for Thursday
• notebook and pen/pencil

Parents are welcome to watch the Clinic on both Wednesday and Thursday. Parents are also invited to the Thursday BBQ at the Gianacakos family's home at 40W701 Willowbrook Court, St. Charles, IL 60175.
